Dining Room Remodeling Dining Room and Informal Eat-in Kitchen These pictures are not a side by side comparison but just a few things we wanted to point out. The dining area before had a cherry cabinet built in with the slate on the wall which tied in with the old fireplace. You will also note that there was a pantry unit on the end by the cabinet. Just next to the pantry is the laundry room which was totally gutted and moved to the other side of the house. The old laundry room became a walk in closet/storage area. After the remodel, you will see that the cherry cabinets have all been removed and replaced with all new cabinetry as well as a mixture of light and dark finishes. On the right side of the picture you will see that the cherry built in is gone as is the pantry and the doorway to the laundry room.
