Garage Remodeling & New Garages 2010 New Detached 2 Car Garage Construction Our customer previously had a one car garage which was not as functional as it could have been. We demolished the old garage and replaced it with a brand new 2 car garage with access off the alley. We also added storage above in the garage as well as all new lighting and the exterior siding was able to be matched to what is on the house. Of course the new garage project spilled over to new landscaping which includes plantings, a flagstone sidewalk and a water feature. Click on pictures below for larger versions! ~Before~ ~After~ ~Before~ ~After~ ~Before~ ~After~ 2010 New Detached Garage Construction with Attached Potting Shed This is a project where Husnik Homes tore down the old garage and built a new garage with an attached potting shed. New garage construction consisted of a 24' wide by 22' deep garage with an attached 14' wide by 16' deep potting shed. Construction is with 2x6 walls with CDX plywood sheathing. We also included garage trusses to allow for storage up above. Windows are Andersen 400 series tilt wash vinyl clad with high performance Low E4 glass. The homeowners requested shutters on the garage windows so we custom made those and then did a clearcoat on them to give the garage a very "quaint" look. Also, part of the project was to re-do the patio, so we did a poured concrete patio with a little twist with the design and a raised patio area for the rocker chairs! With the new garage design, the cedar shakes and the paint colors the whole project looks almost like a cottage! Wouldn't you love for this to be where you enjoy your evenings and weekends! Click on pictures below for larger versions! 2009 New Detached Garage Build This is a brand new detached garage with service door and window built by Husnik Homes after the old garage burned down. The siding is T-111 with Cabots solid base stain and the garage floor has 2 coats of epoxy with silicone sand mixed in for traction. 2008 Garage Remodel Project This garage remodel included a Duracoat floor covering. This gives the floor a great look with low maintenance. We also plumbed for the hose reel which is neatly hidden under the bench seat. Cabinets consist of 56 ½ lineal feet of melamine cabinets all with adjustable shelving.
