New Construction Introduction So you want to build a house. Husnik Homes, Inc. specializes in building custom homes. We will build on your lot or you can check the web site for a listing of lots we have for sale. You already have blueprints? Great!! We are happy to provide you a bid for your new home using your blueprints. But if you don't have blueprints, that's OK too! We can set you up with our architect who will be happy to work with you on designing your new home. Once the blueprints are completed and you have your bid and the contracts are signed, we are ready to break ground. Now the real work begins. You should plan 7-9 months for your house to be completed. Trust us, the finished product will be worth the wait. We will keep you informed every step of the way. Once the house is framed, we will have weekly meetings with you at the home site to look over the blueprints and do a walk through. This is the time to make changes or additions. And believe it or not, you will. You may decide that a closet isn't large enough or maybe you decided to finish off the space above the garage or that you want the entire house wired for computer networking, surround sound or security. We will also provide you with a list of selections you will need to be making as well as a time frame to get those selections completed. The sooner you have your selections done the easier it will be on you! Selections you will need to make are numerous, but don't worry. Our vendors are great to work with and they will walk you through your options and help you with the entire process. Some of the things you will need to select are: paint and stain colors, tile, carpet, countertops, light fixtures, cabinet hardware, faucets, door hardware, etc. Also keep in mind your exterior selections as well. If you find it's too overwhelming, relax! We have decorators we can recommend that will be happy to work with you to make your selection process a fun experience.
