The main level was divided up into separate rooms consisting of a foyer, kitchen, dinette, dining room and living room. Once the walls came down – we had a blank canvas to work with! Before 1 After 1 Before 2 After 2 Before 3 After 3 Before 4 After 4 Demolition included: All interior walls on the main level except for foyer and closet All existing cabinets, countertops and appliances All main level casing, base, stair railing and closet doors Removed sheetrock from kitchen walls Removed insulation in exposed parts of kitchen Scraped all of the popcorn texture off ceilings Removed all existing flooring and disposed of Removed track lighting and fan in kitchen Reconstruction included: Rerouted heating and cooling return air vents Installed new insulation and poly vapor to walls that were opened up Walls were sanded to smooth finish Modified down-draft vent for new cook top which was relocated Added a gas line for new cook top New water lines for ice maker and dishwasher Ceilings received new knock down finish Rebuilt stairway with solid wood on treads and risers Custom designed stair railing by homeowner Rebuilt angled step up by stairway and foyer for better flow Installed pendant lighting over island Extensive use of recessed lighting Materials and Finishes include: The main floor is 3" wide South American Chestnut Cumaru with 3 coats of polyurethane New stairway treads are Chestnut to match flooring Foyer closet was switched from bi-fold doors to double swing shaker style doors Custom made 3-1/2 foot bench with bead board backing and extra coat hooks Custom made 6 foot hutch base with shaker panel doors and Verde Labrador granite top New mission paint grade trim throughout main level Features of the kitchen cabinets include: 96" paint grade birch cabinets with shaker panel doors and Euro hinges in kitchen. 4 plain glass doors with bead board backing Under counter light rail Full extension drawer guides Lower base lazy Susan 8 rollout trays Trash rollout Verde Labrador granite countertops Backsplash is a combination of 4" granite and ceramic tile Back to Top^ Contact Husnik Homes, Inc.
