Nestled on a hill, overlooking White Bear Lake, this charming 1837 home is in the midst of a total makeover. Maintaining the original look of this 2-story home took long hours and hard work. It is the oldest home on the lake and has a long-time reputation to uphold.

A 1600 square foot addition includes a 2-car garage, elaborate garage entry into the home, laundry room, mud room, 1/2 bath, custom kitchen, magnificent family room with open built-in cabinets on each side of the fireplace and a fabulous master suite. Much like many new homes today, hardwood floors throughout compliment a 10 ft dual glass French door exiting onto a beautiful front yard patio. Andersen windows were installed for maximum efficiency, but these tidbits are only the beginning.

The exterior was finished in an 1800's replica design.

Husnik Homes, Inc. contracted with a tool & die shop in order to have the proper knives created to replicate the trim. Hours of hard work and dedication finally produced just what was needed.

Extensive use of millwork was installed throughout the home. Triple Crown molding and Bead Board Wainscoting is apparent in each room and every room.

Replicated Newell Posts enhanced the stairway to the upstairs living space. Old-fashioned designed lights hang from the ceilings to embrace the coziness and comfort of this old home.

While the kitchen sports custom flush-face enamel cabinets, the Farm sink is adoring with its arm-style faucet and an extensive use of granite surrounds the countertops.

Without a doubt this is the place that truly defines the word "home". It has been an incredible opportunity to put our skills and expertise to work - a project that would render any home builder proud.
